Blog entry 2- Nassim Kartaoui

" I think there is just one kid of folks. Folks"

This shows Scouts point of view on the discrimination back then. Its still not completely resolved though, we are still getting bits and pieces here and there of discrimination even to this day. This shows how Scout believes that there isnt really any difference between people other than their origin.

"Seperate but Equal" Jim Crow laws.

I think discrimination is still going around these days but not as obvious. Take the police brutality for example, some police officers are using strong force against unarmed people.

Fact: Black Americans are more than twice likely to be unarmed when killed during police encounters than White Americans.

I feel like the George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin trial relates to the trial in the book. Zimmerman killed 17 year old Trayvon Martin. IN both cases there was barely any evidence to each point. There was no evidence that Tom raped her and there was no evidence that Zimmerman killed Martin in self defense. But both times there was a decision made. Many people were against each decision but that was final. Both were a big controversy.

  2. I really like the pictures you chose. They relate to the topic a lot.I also agree Trevon Martin case was unfair and unjustly.
